Grass Clippings

The Town has received numerous complaints regarding grass clippings being blown into streets during lawn maintenance activities.

Residents are reminded that grass clippings left in roadways may be considered littering under the Town's Code of Ordinances. In addition to creating an unsightly appearance, grass clippings can pose safety hazards for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians. They can also wash into storm drains, contributing to blockages and negatively impacting drainage systems.

Maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and appearance of our community is a shared responsibility. We ask all residents and contractors to take a few extra moments to clear grass clippings from streets, sidewalks, and gutters after mowing.

Your cooperation helps keep our roads safe, our stormwater systems functioning properly, and our community looking its best. Thank you for doing your part to keep our Town clean and safe for everyone.
